The Department of Art at UNLV offers Bachelor of Art in in both Art History and Art Studio, as well as Bachelor of Fine Art degrees.
Graduate
The Masters of Fine Arts degree is a 3-year studio arts program designed to fortify the conceptual and technical skills of developing artists. A combination of generous studio space within walking distance of campus, the availability of graduate assistantships, and a presence of experienced faculty and renowned visiting artists make UNLV’s MFA program uniquely exciting. BFA Studio
For students wishing to focus on a body of work in order to join the art world or prepare to enter a graduate degree program, the BFA allows additional time for student artists to refine, finish, and showcase their work with assistance from a faculty committee. The university also provides studio space for those enrolled in the program. Read More
BA Studio
Based on our core degree program, undergraduate students are given the opportunity to learn the basic skills of art in several mediums before choosing to focus their study on one of our six program concentrations. From three-dimensional art to motion graphics to drawing and painting, the BA Studio degree prepares students with skills for real-world art practice. Read More
