Robert Tracy earned his Ph.D. at UCLA with specialization in American and Modern European Art and Architectural History as well as Theory and Criticism. As Curator of the Parkinson Archives, in Los Angeles, California and Austin, Texas (1980-2000), Dr. Tracy has an established record of exhibition and museum work. He has presented papers at conferences including the Society of Architectural Historians, the Architecture Association of London, and the Semiotic Society of America. For seven years Dr. Tracy directed the annual Architecture Colloquia lecture series for UNLV’s School of Architecture. Dr. Tracy has lectured extensively through the Nevada Humanities Committee, and he has received numerous grants for research and publication from agencies such as the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Nevada Arts Council. As Curator of the College of Fine Arts, Dr. Tracy has curated exhibitions for venues including Institut Francais d’Ecosse in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Majorie Barrick Museum, the Peter Lind Hayes and Mary Healy Gallery and the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery at UNLV.
