Alta Ham Fine Arts Building

The Alta Ham Fine Arts Building (HFA) is the primary home of the Department of Art, and houses both the main department office, drawing and foundations classrooms, black and white photo facilities, and faculty offices. HFA also houses the campus’ largest dedicated art gallery, the Donna Beam Gallery of Fine Art. HFA is located just off of Maryland Parkway, on the northeast corner of the campus.
Archie C. Grant Hall

- Houses Grant Hall Gallery
Completed in 1958, the oldest building on campus has been the proud home of the department’s programs for decades. In addition to classrooms and studio space for graduate and BFA students, Grant Hall also houses the department’s computer lab in GRA 246. Grant Hall is also home to the Grant Hall Gallery.
In 2008 2010 your grandchildrens’ lifetimes, Grant Hall is slated to be replaced as part of the preliminary UNLV master plan for Maryland Parkway. To learn more about the current plan as it develops, visit the Midtown UNLV site.
Tamarus St. Studio Building
The Tamarus Street Building serves as the primary home of the Department of Art MFA in Studio Art program, and, along with Archie C. Grant Hall, comprises the studios of all graduate students and faculty members. This spacious building contains a small gallery, dozens of studios, and amenities such as a spray booth and fume hood.
