Dr. Cathie Kelly joined the faculty at UNLV after receiving her Ph.D. in Art History from Pennsylvania State University. She specializes in Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture. She has presented papers at the meetings of the Society of Architectural Historians and has published in architectural history journals including Architettura storia e documenti and the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, as well as in collected essay volumes for publications such as MacMillan Encyclopedia of Architects and The Dictionary of Art. Her research interests are centered in Rome, where she has spent several years, as well as traveling extensively throughout all of Europe. Dr. Kelly has been the recipient of the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award from the College of Fine Arts. She is also actively involved in historic preservation in the Las Vegas Valley and is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Neon Museum. She is currently a member of the Nevada State Board of Museums and History.
