Scary Art Auction
The BFA Scary Art Auction, to benefit the 2008-2009 BFA program, was held on October 10th. Community members were given the opportunity to view and bid on a wide variety of work with frightening themes, as well as leave their own artistic mark on the newly-repainted mural outside the gallery.
The show included works from contemporary artists Mark Burns, Catherine Angel, Mary Warner, and Stephen Hendee, as well as emerging artists such as Brent Sommerhauser, Erin Stellmon, Jay Bailey, Aaron Sheppard, Brian Porray, Wendy Kveck, and Ayako Ono. The BFAs each contributed pieces to the show as well.
